Paschaltide Reflections Week 6 Day 3

In the book of Job, God shows Job all the great things He created. The greatest of these is the great sea monster, Leviathan. Scholars debate which creature this might be in modern language, but this is besides the important point: God created things which are far beyond our comprehension. This ought to be a chance for wonder and reflection at the infinite majesty of the Creator.

Psalm 104:24-26

O Lord, how manifold are thy works! In wisdom hast thou made them all; the earth is full of thy creatures. Yonder is the sea, great and wide, which teems with things innumerable, living things both small and great. There go the ships, and Leviathan which thou didst form to sport in it.

Christ is risen from the dead,
By death trampling down on death,
And to those in the tomb,
He has granted life!
