Meditation:
God is the author of life and death. He provides us with what we need to live, and takes it away when it is the right time for us to depart this life. In the modern world, we think we have become the masters of life and death. However, even the more advanced medicine we have created is ultimately from God, for He is the creator of all things.
Psalm 104:27-29
These all look to thee, to give them their food in due season. When thou givest to them, they gather it up; when thou openest thy hand, they are filled with good things. When thou hidest thy face, they are dismayed; when thou takest away their breath, they die and return to their dust.
Prayer:
Christ is risen from the dead,
By death trampling down on death,
And to those in the tomb,
He has granted life!
