Paschaltide Reflections Week 2 Day 5

Meditation:

When we observe the forces of nature, we see they are far beyond our control. However, since God is the creator of all things and is infinite in power, the voice of God alone is sufficient to overpower all natural forces. When we see the beauty of nature, we should remember how much greater God is and praise His glory.

Psalm 29:3-5, 7, 9-10

The voice of the Lord is upon the waters; the God of glory thunders, the Lord, upon many waters. The voice of the Lord is powerful, the voice of the Lord is full of majesty. The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars, the Lord breaks the cedars of Lebanon. The voice of the Lord flashes forth flames of fire. The voice of the Lord makes the oaks to whirl, and strips the forests bare; and in his temple all cry, “Glory!” The Lord sits enthroned over the flood; the Lord sits enthroned as king for ever.

Prayer:

Christ is risen from the dead,
By death trampling down on death,
And to those in the tomb,
He has granted life!
