Meditation:
Those in the religious life pray not only during the day, but also come to church at night to praise God. We too can join in these praises. The Liturgy of the Hours has a nighttime office, Compline, that allows us to join the monks as they praise God at night.
Psalm 134:1-3
Come, bless the Lord, all you servants of the Lord, who stand by night in the house of the Lord! Lift up your hands to the holy place, and bless the Lord! May the Lord bless you from Zion, he who made heaven and earth
Prayer:
Christ is risen from the dead,
By death trampling down on death,
And to those in the tomb,
He has granted life!
