Meditation:
On the second Sunday after Easter, we reflected on how Jerusalem is a type of the Blessed Virgin. Today, the psalmist tells us that God loves the Blessed Virgin more than the rest of his chosen people. Mary is the greatest of all the saints, and glorious things are spoken of her.
Psalm 87:1-2
On the holy mount stands the city he founded; the Lord loves the gates of Zion more than all the dwelling places of Jacob. Glorious things are spoken of you, O city of God.
Prayer:
Christ is risen from the dead,
By death trampling down on death,
And to those in the tomb,
He has granted life!
