Meditation:
When we face difficulties in life, we can frequently wonder if God will deliver us. The Psalmist reminds us that God created the entire world and continues to carry out its natural processes. By the continuing work of the creation, God’s power is made known to everyone in the world. By this we can see both God’s power and His providence. If He is always present in the creation, He will always be present in our lives too.
Psalm 65:5-8
By dread deeds thou dost answer us with deliverance, O God of our salvation, who art the hope of all the ends of the earth, and of the farthest seas; who by thy strength hast established the mountains, being girded with might; who dost still the roaring of the seas, the roaring of their waves, the tumult of the peoples; so that those who dwell at earth’s farthest bounds are afraid at thy signs; thou makest the outgoings of the morning and the evening to shout for joy.
Prayer:
Christ is risen from the dead,
By death trampling down on death,
And to those in the tomb,
He has granted life!
