Meditation:
Although we may frequently feel surrounded by enemies in our life, God is always with us. He renews us through the sacraments. He anointed us with oil in confirmation to keep us strong against the enemies of the Church. He sets up a table for us in the mass, and feeds us with His own body and blood through the host and chalice. The Church, the house of the Lord, should always be a haven for us to dwell with God.
Psalm 23:5-6
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of my enemies; thou anointest my head with oil, my cup overflows. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
Prayer:
Christ is risen from the dead,
By death trampling down on death,
And to those in the tomb,
He has granted life!
